Bromley Youth Music Trust  (BYMT)  020 8467 1566

The Vocal Department at BYMTlooks after individual solo singers as well as choirs and also the singing within our borough's schools. There are 13 experienced singing teachers who go into both secondary and primary schools around the borough to teach individual and small group singing lessons. Young singers are given a broad education of all styles of vocal music, looking at classical, jazz, pop and musical theatre. They will have the opportunity to work towards graded exams as well as other solo performances at events such as our Evening of Song.

Choirs are a major focus of the department - and we have different styles of choirs that range from Year 1 up to adult. The younger choirs (Children's/Juniors/Seniors) all sing a variety of music, covering classical, pop and musicals as well as songs written especially for children's voices. Then, as they get older, they have the chance to specialise more, with our Chamber choir focussing on classical repertoire whilst the Showcase Singers sing more pop and musical theatre songs.

Bromley Boy Singers

The Bromley Boy Singers  is a concert choir with a well-established reputation for quality performance and musical education.

Our aim is to help boys discover their musical abilities in an environment that encourages them to have fun while avoiding the peer pressure that can sometimes discourage them from singing at school.  To achieve that the choir is completely independent of any school or church, financed entirely from subscriptions and donations and receives no funding from statutory bodies.
he choir performs an average of 10 concerts per year around Bromley and in central London, take part in local and national competitions, and tour abroad e.g. They just returned from a tour to Paris, performing by special invitation in Notre Dame Cathedral, L'Eglise de la Madeleine & Disneyland.
At theCornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival , they won the prestigious 'John Langdon Cup' in 2015, were runners-up in 2017 and performed at the Minack Theatre, Land's End and The Eden Project.

NYCGB - National Youth Choir of Great Britain

Welcome to the website of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain (NYCGB). Here's who we are, and what we do.
We run five auditioned choirs for more than 700 talented members from around the UK aged 9-25. All members get to take part in inspirational residential courses and outstanding concerts and performances. Boys', Girls' and Training Choir members are invited to attend up to two residential courses per year around the UK. National Youth Choir members attend three compulsory, and one optional, project per year.
We run training programmes for emerging young professionals - the NYCGB Fellowship Programme and the NYCGB Young Composer Scheme - which help to create the next generation of choral leaders, educators and creators.
We are a national champion for choral singing. We visit schools and educational settings around the UK, all year round. We lead lively and engaging singing workshops for students of all abilities, and we assist teachers and music education networks with their development through support and partnership.
We are a registered charity. We run fundraising schemes and activities to ensure that no young person is prevented from taking part in NYCGB through financial hardship. We passionately believe that choral singing is for everybody.
